Steril-Soft PRO Manufacturer of complete chlorine In / Out 3/8 "(OR)

Automatic disinfection system for water softeners from 0 to 350 lt. resin.

In most European countries, automatic disinfection of ion exchange columns is already required for domestic softening systems. Although this practice is not mandatory, periodic disinfection with chlorine is advisable in order to avoid the development of bacteria, which can adversely affect the characteristics of softened water. The Steril-Soft Pro automatic disinfection system for water softeners produces:

* Chlorine by electrolysis of the brine during the regeneration process.

* The resulting chlorine comes into contact with the ion exchange column resin together with the brine, thus ensuring regeneration and disinfection.

* Excess chlorine is eliminated during the regeneration process.

* This patented system generates electrolysis only during the brine suction cycle and automatically stops according to user-defined settings: once turned off, the device requires 20 minutes of waiting before it can start another cycle.

* Chlorine production can be adjusted according to the installation conditions.

* We recommend following these instructions to set up the device to produce the appropriate amount of chlorine.

* Steril-Soft Pro can be used with any automatic valve with 3/8 "brine line

* The control system is equipped with its own transformer and titanium electrodes.

* The electrode cell must be installed in the brine line.

Technical features of the control unit with cell:

* Input voltage: 230 VAC ± 10%

* Output voltage: 2-6 VDC

* Protection index: IP44

* Automatic polarization of the electrodes for each cycle.

* Potentiometer to adjust the current intensity between 0.2 and 2.5 A

* Potentiometer to adjust the cycle time between 2 and 20 minutes.

* Compliant with CE 23/73 and 336/89 standards

Electrode cell technical features:

* Titanium electrodes with connection cable.

* Polypropylene casing reinforced with fiberglass.

* Connections with 3/8 "compression ring

Important:

the set time must be less than the duration of the brine suction cycle, so as to avoid overheating and damage to the electrode compartment.

A thermal probe is mounted on the cell to avoid any problems in the event of a rise in temperature while the device is not producing chlorine. For optimal configuration, variable characteristics must be taken into account

softener, such as brine suction time, amount of resin, injector, etc. See the following diagrams to choose the correct settings. Chlorine production begins only when the conductivity of the probe reaches 18000 µS.

Installation and maintenance:

* Remove the lid of the Steril-Soft Pro system. Adjust the output current using the appropriate AMPERE potentiometer, then use the TIME potentiometer to set the cycle time.

* Close the lid, connect the electrode cell to the Steril-Soft Pro and install it in the brine line.

* Fasten the Steril-Soft Pro system to the wall or to a bracket near a 230 V / 50 Hz power outlet.

* Connect the brine line to the inlet and outlet of the electrode compartment.

* Connect the power cable to the Steril-Soft Pro and insert it into the power outlet. Make sure that the power supply is not controlled by a

switch. The green LED indicates that the Steril-Soft Pro system is turned on. The red LED indicates that chlorine production is in progress and lights up only during the brine draw cycle.

Adjustment instruction:

* By adjusting the TIME potentiometer inside the system, Steril-Soft Pro can be adapted to softeners with capacity up to 350 lt. of resin.

* The AMPERE potentiometer (current intensity from 0.2 to 2.5 A) allows instead to adjust the amount of chlorine produced. The greater the amount of resin (and therefore the

injector flow rate), the greater the amount of chlorine to be produced to ensure sufficient concentration on the resin.

* The TIME potentiometer allows you to adjust the chlorine production time from 2 to 20 minutes. Once the production cycle has ended, the device remains off

for 20 minutes before starting a new cycle.
