ORP-200 O.R.P. Tester (Redox Test)
The ORP-200 is an advanced portable redoximeter, completely waterproof and floating for the measurement of the redox potential expressed in mV and of the temperature.
The higher the ORP, the greater the number of oxidizing agents.
Ideal for anti-oxidant measures: water purification, swimming pools, ionizers, agriculture, aquariums, aquaculture, chlorine monitoring, disinfection when water is cooled, environmental control, washing of fruit and vegetables, hydroponics (artificial cultivation techniques) , metals, ozone monitoring system, pharmaceutical, medical applications, swimming pools and spas, for whitening, vineyards, cellars and water treatment
Checking the Redox or ORP is an easy way to monitor the effectiveness of a disinfectant or the amount of anti-oxidants present in a liquid.
In general terms for humans, a high redox value is recommended for liquids to be used outside the body, while low values are preferred for consumption due to the high antioxidant value.
Minimum ORP for disinfection of swimming pools and spas (recommended by the World Health Organization) is 650 mV.
Although the World Health Organization has not set a standard for ORP for drinking water, below -550 mV it is considered too strong and it is not recommended to drink it.
The instrument is supplied already calibrated with a +200 mV solution.
The abbreviation "ORP" stands for redox potential
Chemicals such as chlorine, bromine, hydrogen peroxide and ozone have the ability to destroy the molecules of organic contaminants, such as bacteria and algae, present in water.
The ability of these substances to disinfect water is indicated by the redox potential (REDOX - ORP) of the water; this value, expressed in millivolts (mV), assumes positive values in the presence of oxidants (chlorine) and negative values in the presence of reducing substances (sodium bisulphite).
CHARACTERISTICS
* Measures oxidation reduction potential (redox) and temperature
* Automatic calibration system
* Waterproof and floating case
* Digital Calibration (via one key)
* Auto-off, has the HOLD function and low battery indicator.
* Display: Large and easy to read LCD screen, includes simultaneous temperature reading.
* Factory Calibrated: Factory calibrated at 200mV The meter can be easily recalibrated with digital calibration using buttons instead of a screwdriver.
* Includes case, batteries, lanyard and pH 4 buffer solution
